SITE INFORMATION
Location

North of Santa Cruz Island between Seymour Island and Baltra Island, this low rocky islet holds sandy beaches where sea lions rests. This unique dive site is 30 minutes from the Itabaca Channel (north side of the island of Santa Cruz).

 

Site Conditions

Usually there aren’t strong currents at this site, its a sandy bottom between 15 and 18 meters with garden eels and pelagic species. There is also a wall that starts at 18 meters where we can find black coral and a variety of invertebrates.

 

Activity

Hammerhead sharks, blacktip shark, whitetip shark, sea lions, turtles, barracudas, reef. Fish, rays, eagle rays, mobula rays, Galapagos eel, variety of invertebrates.

DIVING DAY TOUR

Description and Itinerary

07h00 am: Meeting point at the Galapagos People Dive Center located at Enrique Fuentes Street and Charles Darwin Avenue.

Departure to the Itabaca channel with 40 minutes of travel, to board the boat and leave to the dive site, with an approximate duration of navigation:

 

Daphne: 40 minutes

 

During the navigation the guide will give the instructions and the equipment.  Once in the point of diving we will recieve the dive briefing and then proceed to equip to realize the Check-out dive. Afeter the check-out dive we will proceed with the First immersion with a duration of 45 to 50 minutes.

We will have one our break with snacks before doing the second dive. Once finished the second immersion we will have lunch on board during the return to the Channel of Itabaca.
