° Galapagos people: Who we are.- Company formed in 2007, integrated by our family, 100% native residents of the Galapagos Islands. Our parents, Mr. Segundo Alfredo Chapi Castillo and Mrs. Ana Maria Farfan Merchan, had the opportunity to arrive at Santa Cruz in 1959 leading the last colony settled in this island, denominated "Velasco Ibarra".

Now we are direct operators from the Galapagos Islands and offer own boat services for visits in the sea. We have more than twenty years of experience in surface diving (snorkel), scuba diving, and long walks (trekking) in private zones located in spectacular sites, and we count with lodging services at Ayora's Port - Santa Cruz' highland. We guarantee satisfaction in our tourist services that include all kind of guided visits, transportation, lodging, meals, and transfers from and to the air terminals.

° Why Galapagos people?

We've chosen this as our company's name in order to make our clients' know about the people of Galapagos, so that you'll receive from the Galapagos' people tourist services directly from the islands, differentiating with other operators in price and services, supporting the respect to the conservation of the Natural resources, the human values in Galapagos, and to our clients as part of our activity. Our boat's name, "Shalom" Mainao, means "peace" that we transmit to our visitors, that peace that involves everyone and everything in the Islands, and MAINAO is the name of the Hotel in Ayora's Port, which is a place for relaxing, with a familiar treatment to our guests.

We are a company created to operate from Galapagos, managed by personnel 100% resident in the Islands, dedicated to offer tourist services in the islands, so that our clients can know the flora, fauna, geology, etc., and create a special interest in knowing the culture, the history in each inhabited island, the coexistence of the human being and its contribution with the nature, yesterday and today, and, by this way, to try to involve to everybody in Galapagos and make them more participative.

Our expectation is to become, at a short term, into a company that generates a wide range of tourist products through packages that involve the knowledge of the Galapagos' fauna, flora and human life of the Galapagos' islands, in order to awake the interest in children, students, professionals, and adults in general.
